Question by Mary Posa: If you did credit counseling online before filing for bankruptcy I have a quick question?
I have completed the online course and have to call the counseling company in order to obtain the certificate????.why will they ask me or what does this phone call entail?

This call is usually brief and is just to ensure you were the one that completed the course. They need to make sure someone else did not complete this for you.
They may pick a couple of the questions that were asked during the online session and confirm the answers with you. As long as you were the one who did it, you should be able to easily answer the questions they ask.
After the call, they will issue the certificate which needs to be filed with the bankruptcy court when you file your bankruptcy.
