Christmas is coming fast. For most people, this season is the perfect time for get-togethers ? and when we?re talking about get-togethers at home, we?re talking about the living room as the main venue (most of the time).
That being said, we should then make it a point to make the living room?cozier and warmer. How do you do that? Easy!? Add light fixtures here and there.
1. Begin with adding a central overhead light which will ensure that light is distributed equally and no scary shadows would be made with the other lights.
2. You should definitely add a chandelier or an elaborate modern piece of decorative lighting if your home comes with a ceiling rose. Just be sure that the varaluz lighting piece doesn?t hang low enough for adults to bump into and for kids to reach or play pi?ata with.
3. If you have lots of shelves and tables, place table lamps strategically on the outside edges of your furniture pieces so they would radiate light towards the room and make it look more spacious. 4. Position a freestanding lamp behind your sofa ? if you don?t have a kid who will probably knock it down.
5. Try to place wall lights near the fireplace, on huge cabinets, and in other big furnishings that can?t be repositioned. Just make sure that the lights have glass covers so prying fingers won?t be able to touch the bulb or the wi
